| The correct pretreatment is essential for the quality of the
entire surface coating. We are at present using Fine Crystalline
Zincphosphate which is the most versatile method of uniformly
pre-treating varied types of workpieces under the greatest variety
of conditions, ultimately achieving a consistent quality.
After degreasing, the workpieces are phosphated in a drum-type
or static bath and subsequently dried. The phosphate coating
offers corrosion protection during warehousing, and is also
an outstanding bonding agent for subsequent coatings. It also
has a markedly positive influence on the covering and structure
of the subsequent coating material, especially on edge areas.
Eg: Sharp-edged stamped-hole walls.
Various methods are available for applying Delta Tone and
Delta Seal. Selection of the type of coating depends on the
workpieces and the demands placed on the finished surface.
The basic distinction is made between the processing of pourable
small workpieces by centrifuging and the processing of rack
loads by dipping, spraying and spin coating. |
